What Are Limb Risers?

Limb risers are tensioned cables that run from the front of your vehicle to an upper mounting point, typically on a roof rack. When driving narrow or overgrown trails, the cables help guide small branches and brush upward instead of allowing them to contact the windshield directly.

The brackets can also serve as convenient front tie-down points for canoes, kayaks, lumber, and other long cargo extending forward from your roof rack, providing a secure anchor point without adding permanent tie-down hardware to the vehicle.

These brackets provide the lower hood-side mounting points needed for a limb riser setup.
