This is a small hard case quick-release mount built to attach a case to roof racks, bed racks, exterior or interior panels, or other vehicle hard points. Keep tools, recovery gear, camp supplies, first aid kits, or whatever you use a hard case on the vehicle, then when needed quickly detach and go. It can also also bolt to rigid MOLLE (seatback or other modular panels) as well.
Built for small to smaller medium sized hard cases in the common 1200 up to 1500 size class (around 18" by 15" bases) and similar footprints (including many Pelican-style, Apache, Condition One and Nanuk small cases). Constructed from powder coated aluminum with stainless steel latch and Mil-spec hardware.
Install
The case mounting plate installs with four drilled holes through the case, sealing washers are included. The base plate mounts to the roof rack, MOLLE panel, bumper swing out, or whatever hard point you have available on the vehicle. Once both sides are bolted on their surfaces, you're ready to go.
The case panel slips into two retaining slots on the base, and a stainless steel latch clamps the two together. When latched, a security tab aligns with both plates to be used with a lynch pin or can be used as a lock point for extra security. The mount can be installed vertically or horizontally for maximum flexibility.
Includes hardware for case mounting including rubber sealing washers, does not include hardware for panel mounting on vehicle.
QD / Quick-Release
On for the expedition, off when you need it at camp or on the trail. Easily access the case contents while mounted as well. To release the case, remove the lynch pin or optional lock, release the latch, and pull the case out.
Utilize the case's lock provisions to secure the case itself, the case mount can be easily secured by replacing the included lynch pin with a lock.
